Vanilla Ice-Cream

Vanilla Ice CreamIngredients

For Ice Cream
  • 1 1/2 cup cold milk
  • 3/4 tin condensed milk
  • 1 1/2 cup cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
For Chocolate Sauce
  • 1/4 tin condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 3 tbsp cocoa
  • 50g unsalted butter

Method

Ice Cream
  1. Combine condensed milk, milk and vanilla essence in a bowl.
  2. Whip up the cream lightly and fold into the above mixture.
  3. Pour the mixture into a freezing tray and freeze till the mixture is half set.
  4. Remove from freezer and beat until smooth. Return to tray and freeze until firm.
Ice Chocolate Sauce
  1. Combine milk and cocoa and stir to paste.
  2. Add condensed milk and unsalted butter. Heat over medium flame till thick enough and glossy.
  3. Serve ice cream with hot chocolate sauce.

Serves:  5-6

Preparation Time:  25-30 min + Freezing Time

 

Kesar Kulfi

Vanilla Ice CreamIngredients

  • 4 cups milk
  • 1 tin condensed milk
  • 100g khoya
  • 1 tbsp maida flour
  • 1/2 tsp kesar powder
  • 10-12 chopped and blanched almonds

Method

  1. Mix together condensed milk, milk, maida, and khoya. Bring to boil, stirring constantly.
  2. Reduce heat and cook for 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
  3. Remove from fire and cool.
  4. Add almonds and kesar dissolved in 1 tsp of water.
  5. Fill into kulfi moulds and freeze overnight.

Serves:  10

Preparation Time:  30 min + 1 night
